I wish I could take credit for most of these amazing shots....but our good friend who is a professional photographer joined us in the delivery room to capture Caroline's first moments in to the world. It was a VERY fast labor. I got to the hospital at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 11th. The doctor broke my water around 8:30 and Caroline was born 3 hours later at 11:30 AM. She came in to the world so easily...now let all the fun begin!!
First shot with her Dad.
In her mother's arms for the first time!

Sweet Caroline.
This was the first time Annalee met Caroline. The moment was priceless. She pointed out her nose, eyes, hair, mouth and toes! She brought her a little stuffed owl and gave her the sweetest kiss on her forehead.
Uncle Brad and Aunt Shea came with Annalee and Caroline's cousin, Graham.
Caroline was the sweetest baby in the hospital. She slept great right away and ate like a champ.
On Friday, August 13th we headed home. Mittie took Annalee to College Station while we were in the hospital so when we got home it was just the three of us. We missed Annalee immediately and were ready for her to be home. But...it was nice to rest and give Caroline all of our attention for just a little while.
Mimi got Caroline her "coming home outfit". I told Caroline that this would be the only time in life she could attempt to pull off the bonnet!
Howdy Home!!!
I took some shots of Caroline in the buff with her dad.

WELCOME HOME CAROLINE LAWRENCE SAWYER!!!!

Captiva Island Weber Vacation 2010

In early July we met Clint, Heather, Betsy, Pop and Mittie at the beach at Captiva Island, Florida. It was a great week together. Annalee loved getting to know Betsy better. Betsy was so sweet to her, teaching her all sorts of new tricks and loving on her all day!Betsy and Annalee at the end of a long day in the sun.
These were Annalee's first steps on to the beach. She was a little hesitant of the sand and waves at first. By the end of the week...she was a pro at eating sand and jumping in the surf.

Betsy, Annalee and Mittie....brushing their teeth and getting ready for bed. Annalee and Betsy shared a room...amazingly, Annalee rarely woke up Betsy with her middle of the night cries!
The beach house had a little pool...which became everyone's favorite destination.
Fortunately there was no oil on the shore...just lots of sand for building castles.
Annalee and Pop...on a very hot walk to the Marina.
Betsy and Annalee sharing a movie together on the iPad. Annalee was more interested in Betsy than the movie!

Fun in the sand!

We took a boat ride out to Cabbage Key...did a little fishing a shelling. Beautiful ocean!
Walking on island off Cabbage Key.
Boat rides can make you very sleepy!!!
....and hungry!!
Before we boarded the plane to go home we visited Henry Ford and Thomas Edison's vacation homes. Annalee was not impressed...but the homes were beautiful!

Great vacation. We loved getting to see my parents and especially Clint, Heather and Betsy before their move to Arizona. The best part was being together!
