Mittie and Chief Spring Break in Key West

Mittie and Annalee shared a room when Annalee came home from the hospital. It was great because Blake and I got good sleep and Mittie spent fun early mornings snuggling with Annalee. We are happy to report that Annalee has lost her Belly Button stump and is sporting a nice "innie". Time for a dunk in the pool!
Chief told Annalee lots of fun stories and walked and rocked....and bounced and walked...

Blake and Annalee are both worn out from company! It was so nice having my mother here. I am not sure we would have survived the first couple of weeks of Annalee's life....we would have spent LOTS of time in the ER for no reason at all. I loved spending time with my daughter and my mother. Precious moments.

Child of God, Annalee Blake

Good Morning! Today Annalee gets Baptized!
Father John suggested Annalee getting baptized during the weekly children's Mass on Friday morning, March 20th. She wore me and my brother's baptismal gown...a little big but she still looked beautiful.

Father John introduces the newest member of the Catholic Church.
Annalee's baptismal cake. She shared her cake with all the children.

God Bless Annalee!

There is no place like home.

On March 13th were were discharged from the hospital and started to make our way home. Annalee slept through the whole trip.....
Strapped in and ready to go home...we were all VERY ready!
Father Andrew came to visit in the hospital and blessed Annalee before she stepped out in to the world.
A sweet hospital volunteer wheeled us out to our car.
First family photo at the front door.

Robin greets Annalee as we walk in the door.
Annalee was barely 48 hours old when we took her to our favorite Pina Colada bar for sunset and a cocktail. It was our very first outing and she slept through the whole thing!
Annalee and Gran Mittie spent lots of time on the back porch basking in the sun and shade.
Blake is already teaching Annalee lots of interesting things about animals and the ocean.
First Bath....

All dressed up for Saint Patrick's Day.
Annalee's Nini brought Texas dirt that was stored underneath the delivery bed. The dirt was from the very spot that Blake and I were married.
Annalee's first walk in the stroller. Off to throw the ball for Robin at the Golf Course!

Home Sweet Home!

Good First Morning, Annalee!

Mom got up early and captured Annalee's first sunrise before she headed to the hospital to wish her a first Good Morning.

After a long day of labor we finally got settled and the bonding could begin! Blake tells Annalee her first bedtime story.

IT'S A GIRL!!

After my 40 week doctor appointment the doctor sent me home to pack and to check in to the hospital. Mom and I stopped for quesadillas and called Blake on the way. He met us at the house. We were both so nervous and ready to meet our little one. We had a LOOOOONG road ahead of us!
On our way to the hospital!

Mom helped Blake "coach".
Going for a walk....hoping to speed things up a bit.
IT'S A GIRL!!!! After 29 hours of labor we finally met our daughter: Annalee Blake Sawyer

Annalee was not wild about her first eye drops.
Blake stayed with Annalee during all of her newborn tests. She is already daddy's little girl.
After Annalee was born we took a quick shot with the doctor and our delivery nurse. We all were so happy to finally have our little girl out in the world.

Holding Annalee in my arms for the first time was unbelievable.  It was so strange to finally get to meet the one who I have spent so much time loving already.
