Captiva Island Weber Vacation 2010

In early July we met Clint, Heather, Betsy, Pop and Mittie at the beach at Captiva Island, Florida. It was a great week together. Annalee loved getting to know Betsy better. Betsy was so sweet to her, teaching her all sorts of new tricks and loving on her all day!Betsy and Annalee at the end of a long day in the sun.
These were Annalee's first steps on to the beach. She was a little hesitant of the sand and waves at first. By the end of the week...she was a pro at eating sand and jumping in the surf.

The beach house had a little pool...which became everyone's favorite destination.
Fortunately there was no oil on the shore...just lots of sand for building castles.

Before we boarded the plane to go home we visited Henry Ford and Thomas Edison's vacation homes. Annalee was not impressed...but the homes were beautiful!

Great vacation. We loved getting to see my parents and especially Clint, Heather and Betsy before their move to Arizona. The best part was being together!

Summer 2010- Part 1

I cannot believe August is almost here! This summer has been a whirlwind filled with fun, water sports, new tricks and family trips. We are waiting to welcome our new addition, another little girl any day! So...in anticipation of adding another Sawyer...I decided it was about time I closed Annalee's chapter as an only child with some Summer 2010 posts. Fall here we come!! Of course, I don't think it will be feeling like Fall around here for a long time...so our pool time will continue!

We have been attending several play groups...the best part is all the fun new toys at her friend's houses!! After she crashed this car twice I decided that she might have inherited my driving talent and that we might need to avoid purchasing this toy for our back deck.
We spent a weekend in Dallas celebrating Blake's grandmother's 80th birthday. During that time Annalee spent lots of time with her cousins in the sun. She had her very first frozen treat while taking a dip in the pool.
All that swimming and sugar can make a girl hungry for lunch.

Birthday Party...HAPPY 1st!!!

We had a backyard BBQ celebration in honor of Annalee's first year. Annalee started walking on Texas Independence Day...right before she turned one! It was fun to debut her new talent at the party!
Mimi and Mittie came in town for the big day.

Annalee's obsession: BOOKS. Sometimes I get pretty worn out and hide them for a few days.

Christmas, New Years and 9 months....

December and January were very busy with Christmas and New Years activities!

This year we spent Christmas at home in Austin. It was so relaxing. We got up early and read the Nativity Story and opened presents!

The weekend after Christmas the Sawyer extended family got together. Annalee and cousin Kiera played together in the bath tub/sink!

Dogs are a girl's best friend!

Robin is adjusting well to Austin. She loves the new house... especially the neighborhood park! Annalee loves watching her go after the ball!

Annalee is trying all sorts of new foods. She loves sweet potatoes, ham, turkey, peas and fruit.
Annalee got to hang out with Graham at Mimi's house.  We were all in town for Keira's baptism.  They had a ball! 
Annalee attended the Baptism in her Christmas Dress.  
In the mornings Annalee and Robin snuggle. Robin has been so sweet to her... extremely forgiving of the tail pulls and fur yanks. 

Nando came to visit over Thanksgiving weekend. He was such a big help with Annalee...and we had fun with him too!

Annalee's top two teeth are trying to cut through.... raw broccoli is one of her favorite teething toys! She is sleeping great...giggling throughout the day and cruising all over the house. Some of my biggest challenges are keeping her away from the stairs and the dog's food!
